How we collect, use and protect your information. Last updated October 2026.
Who we are
Neurogenics Gut Wellness Clinic is run by Alan Lee, who is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact us at alan@bodymindmedical.co.uk, by phone on 01492 870889, or by post at Fernbank House, Springwood Way, Tytherington, Bollington, Macclesfield, SK10 2XA.
What we collect and why
- Contact form. Your name, email, optional phone number and message, used to reply to your enquiry. Lawful basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- Gut health emails. Your name and email, used to send gut-health knowledge and tips. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
- Gut Wellness Profile. Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details. Your answers to the assessment are health information. They are used to produce your report and are shared with the clinic to support your care. Lawful basis: your explicit consent and the provision of health care.
- Consultations. Online bookings are made through Calendly. Information you share during consultations forms part of your clinical record, which is kept securely and confidentially.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use trusted service providers to run the site and the clinic, including Hostinger (website hosting and email), Stripe (payments), Calendly (booking) and, where you have agreed to it, Meta (advertising measurement). Where testing is agreed, the relevant laboratory receives the information needed to process your sample. Some providers may process data outside the UK, under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them, and normally no longer than two years. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Clinical records are kept for the period required for health records.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email us to make a request. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
